Uitnodiging expositie Tamrat Gezahegne

Tamrat Gezahegne, geboren in Addis Abeba in 1977, is een gerenommeerde kunstenaar wiens werk verschillende media en vormen van artistieke expressie omvat. Hij heeft een diploma behaald aan de Ale School of Fine Arts and Design, waar hij zijn vaardigheden heeft verfijnd en een diepgaand begrip van het ambacht heeft ontwikkeld.

Als medeoprichter van Netsa Art Village heeft Gezahegne een belangrijke rol gespeeld in de bloeiende hedendaagse kunstscene in Ethiopië. Via dit platform heeft hij bijgedragen aan de groei en promotie van kunst in zijn land, waarbij hij creativiteit heeft gestimuleerd en kansen heeft geboden aan opkomende kunstenaars. In 2022 was hij een resident van de Thami Mnyele Foundation in Amsterdam.

Aankomende zondag 9 juli opent om 16:00 uur de expositie, waarbij de kunstenaar zelf aanwezig zal zijn om ons bij te praten over de kunstscene in Addis Abeba, Ethiopië. De expositie blijft vervolgens te bezichtigen tot en met 13 augustus 2023.

Invitation exhibition Tamrat Gezahegne

Tamrat Gezahegne, born in Addis Ababa in 1977, is a renowned artist whose work encompasses various media and forms of artistic expression. He obtained a diploma from the Ale School of Fine Arts and Design, where he refined his skills and developed a deep understanding of the craft.

As a co-founder of Netsa Art Village, Gezahegne has played a significant role in the thriving contemporary art scene in Ethiopia. Through this platform, he has contributed to the growth and promotion of art in his country, fostering creativity and providing opportunities for emerging artists. In 2022, he was a resident of the Thami Mnyele Foundation in Amsterdam.

On Sunday, July 9th, the exhibition will open at 4:00 PM, with the artist himself present to provide insights into the art scene in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The exhibition will be on display until August 13th, 2023.
